Word Up!

Beryl is busy programming a fantastic Spoken-Word line-up for her festival stage this year, appearing at Buddhafield in July. With 5 nights of interactive poetry, storytelling, comedy and cabaret, Word Up! has gone from strength to strength, and provided some incredible happenings thanks to all the guest artists that have played there.

Highlights thus far have included Pete the Temp, Chris Redmond, Jonny Fluffy Punk, and Matt Harvey, alongside Rumi-bard Duncan Mackintosh, professional wise-fool Adam Taffler, and so many other emerging artists, radical performers, and participation opportunities...

This year Beryl is absolutely stoked to have gone and landed rapper extrodinaire Dizraeli as her Saturday evening headlining highlight! All the better for his new work looking at madness and masculinity, which will flow nicely from the 'WordPlay Poetry on Prescription' troupe, who will be making a special appearance after their workshop series in Yeovil.
